((A loose little RP for talking, magic, and mayhem. Feel free to join in any time .)) Rumi was sitting on the dock, her feet dangling over the edge and reflecting in the crystal water of the school's lake. She sighed and leaned back, stretching out. The water was so wonderful. She grew up around it and still couldn't seem to bring herself to leave. She lifted up her little charmed necklace and observed it in the sunlight. "I wonder when I'll learn to do something other than making these silly things," she huffed, and let go of it. She scooted around on her belly until her face was now facing the edge of the dock, peering over the water. She saw tiny fish swimming below her. "I should go fishing today," she muttered... "There seems to be many of them out today."

"Rahgh!" Claire grunted as she slashed the air in front of her with the sword she carried. Practicing was a daily chore that must be done in order for her skill in swordplay to improve. She whisked the blade through the air and envisioned cutting through a knight's armor with the strokes that she was performing. It didn't seem a good idea to kill with every slash... Knights were supposed to show those whom they defeat mercy... Claire wasn't one to forget the true code of the knights.
After several more minutes of training, Claire sheathed her blade and looked around at the academy that she had joined... Classes had only just started, and she was already struggling in keeping up with her fellow class members... All of the different types of magic that one had to learn to master sorcery... It gave her a headache. As she scanned the campus, she took notice of the lake that was a few yards away from where she had decided to practice. She hoped that a bit of relaxation would cure the frustration from class, and so she started walking towards the lake.

Rumi pushed herself up off the dock with a humph. She brushed off her clothes. If she was going to go fishing, she'd need to go and find some bait. Worms? Minnows? But how would she carry worms without a bucket or minnows without a net. "I should go see if anyone has one I could borrow," she thought. "I need to go be more social anyways."
She walked down the path that led to the lake. There were a few students there already, some practicing their magic lakeside. She heard a plop in the water and turned around just in time to see a Demon student jumping into the lake. He had blue colored scales that covered his whole body and gills right below his ear. When he got into the water, she watched as he conjured a water spirit, that began to race along the shoreline. Then, the waves lapped over it and gobbled it up. The Demon boy frowned.
Rumi turned her attention back to where she would find her supplies. As she was walking, she crossed paths with a young girl headed in the direction from which she came. A sword swung at her side.
"Excuse me," she approached her. "Would you happen to have a bucket I could b... Oh wait! I don't even have a fishing pole!" Rumi realized with sudden disappointment. She looked at the girl. "Sorry, sorry. I was going to go fishing, you see..."

Claire watched as a student bounded towards her and stopped to ask her a question. "Calm down a bit..." Claire replied cooly. She hadn't met this girl yet, and she seemed to be a little air headed... Why would you look for a bucket when you didn't even have a fishing rod? At least the girl noticed before she had found said bucket... "I know that there's a fishing class somewhere around here... Why don't you check to see if they have an extra rod you can use?"
Claire stared towards the lake and saw other students swimming, and a couple of them sitting in the trees. It looked as if the lake was a sociable place... Maybe not so good a spot to relax after training. "Do you know where the building is? If not, I'd be willing to show you to it." Claire asked, making sure that the girl heard her properly.

Huilang stood under the trees talking with two other girls about the classes they were taking, but soon grew bored of the conversation. She looked out to the lake, where some of the other students were goofing around. It looked like so much fun.
"I'll catch you girls later, I'm going to have a bit of enjoyment,"she smirked and waved back to them as she started to walk to the lake.
As she got closer, she broke into a run. By the time she hit the water's edge, she was running full tilt. Her feet touched the water, but never sank in. She turned and slid on top of the water to the middle of the lake, water flying up into the air around her. She reached the middle and stopped, then looked back at all the people in the lake. A few giggled, but most stared at her. She had a tough crowd to please. She smiled and waved. "HIII!!" Huilang called out. She got a few more giggles. A fish boy came up beside her and she bent down to give him a high five.
He swam away, and Huilang laid down on the surface of the lake, just staring at the sky. Small fish began to swim around underneath her just curious. She smiled, and then let herself slowly sink into the water, only keeping her head above. She didn't want to get her horn wet. She swam back to the shore, and got out. She shook, and then grabbed her tail and squeezed it to wring the water out. She let it go, then swished it back and forth a few times. Her clothes were wet now, but she didn't really care.

Rumi tilted her head to the side. "We have a fishing building?" She asked, her blank look clearly answering the girl's question... "Ah that's right, it's near the Alchemy building and the gardens... Hmm... now where was that aga..."
Rumi turned her head as a blur of white hair ran past her, onto the dock and leaped at the lake, then glided over it as if it were ice.
"Where was it again?"... Rumi continued, a little sidetracked... "Oh never mind, let's forget fishing! I don't want to walk all the way there. Come on, you should go swimming! The water's really nice today."

A grave look appeared on Claire's face as the girl mentioned actually getting into the water. "Uhh..." Claire murmured, "I'll walk with you down there... But I don't like water..." Claire's eyes immediately darted towards the ground and she stood there, waiting on the response. Not being able to swim was one of her obvious flaws... Not to mention that she didn't like to be in any less than full clothing around other people.
