Our Purpose
The purpose of the Academy for the Gifted is to provide students with magical abilities, who's parents are incapable of teaching them about those abilities, the teaching they might need to perfect these powers. Children between the ages of twelve and eighteen are granted permission to enter the academy. The academy doesn't function on a grading system and is a free school where students are welcome to study what they please.
Our Campus
Our campus is a lively and friendly one. We are located near Leuniel's northern border, not too far from the County House. A rock fence surrounds the school's property line. On school property, students can find a number of facilities and resources to aid in their studies. Student Huts serve as student housing and are spread across the campus. Each student's hut will be furnished with fireplace, dining table and chairs, bed, dresser, lamp, and a restroom with bath. Housing is also provided to teachers. All students should have at least one well within walking distance of their hut for fresh water. Transportation in the form of carriages is provided to students to go too and from study halls. Students board these carriages at the designated carriage stops.
We have a school store where students can buy various supplies: journals, pens, ink, and etc. They also sell some magical supplies, most of which are crafted by the school's very own students and hopeful artisans.
Students are granted permission to garden outside of their hut and to fish at the lake on school grounds for food.
From 12:00 pm - 5:00 pm students will be able to travel outside of school grounds and to the city in order to obtain provisions if they are needed.
Study Halls and Other Buildings
The largest building on campus would be the Entrance Hall. This is where students will find the banquet room, the ballroom, the student cafeteria, the welcoming desk and student registration center, the headmistress's office, and the Seer's office.
There is the library, filled with an extensive collection of books and articles documenting historical events and other information. There's a section specifically for the eight major types of magic. There is also a section documenting types of other magic.
There is also a study hall dedicated to the teachings of each of the eight major magics. Adjacent to the study hall for Alchemy one can also find the gardens, where various plants and herbs are grown.
Our Faculty
The Headmistress: Our headmistress is a young red-headed woman at the kind age of thirty-two. Her name is Herma Sayue and she is the daughter of the school's previous headmaster, Keito Sayue. She is strict but understanding, a firm believer and enforcer of the importance of rules. She can usually be found in her office.
The Seer: He is of the Elven race. He has kind light eyes and graying brown hair. Though he has wrinkles on his face, his age is unknown. When students first arrive at the academy, they will need to seek out our Seer. Our Seer, Hondus Greenwood, has been with us for twenty years now. It is his job to predict the future of each student that attends our school, in hopes that he can guide them to their right learning path. Sometimes, the information our Seer gathers is irrelevant to a student's learning, but the information is always important to that student's future. Always. He is usually in his office.
The Teachers: Different teachers frequent each study hall, depending on what they major in. If a teacher is not located in their study hall they can always be sought out somewhere on the campus. Teachers that don't teach the masses will sometimes come to the school for the specific purpose of being tutors. A student who really wants to further their magical knowledge would be best off finding a tutor.
